The Work of Counseling

Feeling stuck doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means your nervous system, emotions, and past experiences are working in ways that once protected you but are no longer serving you. My approach to counseling is flexible, adaptive, and deeply collaborative, helping you uncover insights, shift patterns, and move toward real healing.

What to Expect

Every session is unique, guided by your goals and where you are in the process. I don’t follow a rigid structure. Our work together flows naturally based on what you bring to the session. My role is to help you identify and shift the underlying beliefs and patterns keeping you stuck, often integrating techniques like EMDR, Brainspotting, and emotionally focused approaches to deepen the work.

Who It’s For

I work best with clients who are intellectually curious, introspective, and eager to explore their inner world. If you tend to overthink, process verbally, or seek self-discovery, you’ll likely feel at home in my style of therapy. If you prefer a highly structured, directive approach with homework and clear-cut solutions, I may not be the best fit. Similarly, while I welcome conversations about faith and spirituality, my approach is best suited for those who are open to exploring these topics in a way that feels meaningful to them.

What You Can Gain

Many clients leave sessions feeling lighter, more hopeful, and more at peace. As we work through what your nervous system has been carrying, you may notice that situations that once triggered you no longer have the same emotional weight. Beyond symptom relief, the deeper shift is usually about identity. A clearer, steadier sense of who you are that doesn’t depend on the old frameworks holding together.

Ready to Get Started?

My individual practice is currently full and new clients are accepted by personal referral only. If you were referred by someone and want to explore whether we’re a good fit, you can reach out through the Appointment Request button or call the clinic directly.

If you’re looking to work together now, a therapy intensive may be the better path. It’s a more concentrated format that often creates more movement in less time, and it’s where I have current availability.
