Notes from the Office

What happens in the therapy room finds its way onto the page. The book is where one thread landed. The Substack is where it keeps going.

The Book

A Crisis of Maps is where years of clinical work, personal story, and honest reflection came together. It’s about what happens when the maps we were given stop working and what becomes possible when we stop trying to force them onto terrain they were never meant to cover.

Second Order Practice

I write on Substack at Second Order Practice. The name comes from a systems concept: first-order change is doing more or less of the same thing, second-order change is shifting the system itself. That’s the kind of change I’m interested in.

Substack is an online platform where writers publish directly to their readers, delivered straight to your inbox like a newsletter, but without the noise of social media

I write about the places where psychology, faith, and real life collide. Some weeks it’s clinical. Some weeks it’s personal. Most weeks it’s both.

Subscribing is free. If the writing ends up being worth something to you, some readers choose to support it financially. Either way, I’d love to have you there.
